Road of the Seven Lakes
Road of the Seven Lakes The excursion departs from Bariloche heading north along National Route 40, crossing landscapes of Andean forests, mountains, and glacial lakes. The route passes through the town of Villa La Angostura, known as the “Garden of Patagonia,” and from there begins the spectacular Road of the 7 Lakes, one of the most beautiful in the entire mountain range. Along the way, you will see Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Villarino, Falkner, Escondido, Machónico, and finally Lácar, surrounded by forests of lengas, coihues, and arrayanes. Every turn of the road offers unique panoramic views that reflect the diversity and purity of the Patagonian landscape. At noon, we arrive at the city of San Martín de los Andes, on the shores of Lake Lácar. There is free time to have lunch, explore the downtown area, and enjoy the tranquility of one of the region’s most picturesque towns. The return journey follows the same route, offering new perspectives of the lakes and mountains that accompany the entire trip. A full-day excursion that encapsulates the essence of the Patagonian landscape: pristine nature, color contrasts, and a permanent sense of vastness. Includes: Transportation, professional guide, and assistance throughout the tour. Weather in Patagonia: The weather can vary throughout the day. Intense sun, wind, rain, or even snow are part of the Patagonian experience. The excursion is not canceled due to weather conditions, as each state of the weather offers a distinct and authentic beauty of the region.
