Stargazing: Patagonia Base Camp Expedition
Stargazing: Patagonia Base Camp Expedition The absolute protagonist of this night is the firmament. Together with Daniel Chiesa —a renowned local specialist whose work and dedication to the study of the Patagonian sky have made him an undisputed authority in the region— our mission is to guide you through a technical and profound observation, using the cleanest sky in the world as our map. It is precisely here where the Patagonian steppe grants us its unique conditions: a dry environment and cool temperatures that clear the atmosphere, guaranteeing unparalleled clarity and sharpness for stargazing. To ensure your connection with the stars is complete and free of distractions, we establish our Base Camp: a strategic refuge that blends into the landscape and serves as your anchor in the vastness. It is the heart of the expedition, a space designed to offer a warm and restorative environment. Between observations, the refuge awaits you, where you can wrap yourself in heavy-duty thermal blankets and enjoy the perfect contrast between the freshness of the cosmos and the protection of our camp. Here, the universe becomes tangible through the senses. While we decipher the star map, we immerse ourselves in a culinary proposal with identity: a selection of regional appetizers and a technical, comforting mountain dinner, paired with the intensity of a Patagonian winery wine or the complexity of a local craft gin. With a hot drink in your hands and the authentic flavor of regional alfajores, the night transforms into a banquet under the stars. We adapt our menu for celiacs, vegetarians, and other dietary restrictions; it is essential that you inform us at the time of booking. “Together, let’s explore the secrets of the cosmos on a night that will be etched in your memory.”
